It's probably okay for keyboard and mouse. I am frustrated by this product and considering asking for a refund. I have downloaded two different softwares to reconnect and it will not read in any of them. This thing will not connect to my bluetooth mouse and keyboard combo. Still, better transmitters don't seem to have this problem. Who knows, maybe it's an issue specifically with Linux.
But again, it's no good for audio: pulseaudio has no way of detecting dropped audio packets with this driver, so if that happens, audio and video will gradualy drift out of sync until you reset the dongle altogether. With direct line of sight - absolutely no obstacles - it's still quite choppy after about 7 feet.For GNU/Linux users: transmitter is a Broadcom BCM20702B0 and requires a non-free binary firmware blob to be installed in your /lib/firmware directory. Which is a shame because I intended to use it to watch TV from my living room while working in the kitchen. With digital audio, it starts dropping packets after you're about 2 meters away.
